S & S FMX Coaching coming back to Valyside compound in Western Australia

The follow-up FMX Coaching to the sold-out Under the Fender clinic will be different and will revolve solely around technical jumping and trick skills with 4-hour intensive rider coaching, compared to the Under the Fender Clinic which delved into the background of Freestyle MX in terms of securing sponsorships and entering competitions with riding techniques to finalise the coaching.

Steve Sommerfeld who is a professional Freestyle MX rider with S & S FMX Coaching said that Valysides support of unearthing the next generation of Freestyle MX athletes is necessary to keep the sport alive in Australia which is one of the leading countries in Freestyle MX athletes.Last month we met so many new FMX riders in Perth, some of whom already showed they have the skills to enter competitions and do very well this year and also some younger riders who have the right attitude to progress into potential FMX riders of the future Sommerfeld said.Schuie and I were impressed with the riders attitudes and also the course, so we knew we had to come back as soon as we could to continue building the skills of the riders who came to the first coaching event and there have been many more riders who have joined up after great word of mouth!

Joining Schubring and Sommerfeld for FMX coaching will be a special guest, Australias newest FMX sensation and Valysides team rider Josh Sheehan who has recently won the Bronze Medal at X Games Best Trick 2011 in Los Angeles when he landed his first Double Back Flip only a fortnight ago. Sheehan will be on hand to give firsthand information on what it takes to become a professional rider and to compete in the worlds biggest competitions including Red Bull X-Fighters and X Games.

The specially designed coaching course built by DirtShape WA features three metal ramps from small distances of 45 feet up to competition size 75 feet and all utilising a full table-top landing ramp which takes away many of the dangerous aspects related to Freestyle Motocross.
