Day 15 - Golf on the Bass Strait

Steve

The night before we had a few ales down at the Peterborough local pub, and possibly added onto that with a Captain Morgan rum or two while we played XBox until almost midnight. So at 4am, I really wasn't in the mood to be packing the Xbox up in the rain. Apparently I looked like I was in Zombie-land, but take that with a grain of salt I think from Schuie. When I woke up again at 7:30 though, I was hanging for a big feed, so while Schuie was shooting up Z's, I made a big Eggs Benedict breakie, with the Hollandaise and spinach garnish to boot as we were heading straight for the golf course at Peterborough to put in 9 holes before we headed to Millicent to see Josh Burdon. Why did we want to play golf in Peterborough you say? This is why!

It was a great way to back up the day before seeing the Twelve Apostles, and here we were playing a round of golf on a green located on a similar coastline with sheer cliffs beside us, waves crashing heavily over the exposed reefs and a wet, misty morning as well.

After 9 holes and 32 for par, Schuie finished in at 11 over par, and I was 14 over par. Not bad considering we hit a house each on the side of the road (oops) and I had a ball hook to the left and go straight into the ocean.

We needed to finish up quick though, so we packed the clubs back into the trailer and made our way to Burdo's place in Millicent. Another 4 hours drive to Burdo's and we made it in time to have a chinwag, see some crazy things Josh has set up but more on that tomorrow!
